CERN Computing Seminar Sponsored by openlab: Writing parallel programs that work

Date:
Friday, 8 June, 2012 - 14:00 to 15:00

As glaring as it may sound, serial algorithms are one of the main burdens to achieve efficient parallel computations. Therefore a good understanding of the serial parts in a given piece of code sets the basis for performant parallel programming.

On Friday June 8th Paul Petersen, Senior Principal Engineer in the Software and Solutions Group (SSG) at Intel, will address this subject and expose the highlights of Intel's Parallel Studio in a computing seminar in the CERN Council Chamber at 14:00.
