At the Moriond conference in La Thuile, Italy, the LHCb experiment released new results showing that once more, despite all expectations, the Standard Model is standing tall and strong. LHCb is one of the four large experiments operating at the LHC. They were looking for very rare events, predicted to happen three times out of every billion events, and have not found any deviation from theoretical predictions. This greatly restrict possibilities for new theories trying to go beyond the current model. You can read more about these results over on Quantum Diaries.
