The CERN Summer Student Webfest is an annual hackathon at CERN, where a group of bright and creative minds meet over a weekend to build cool science projects using open Web technologies. Participants in the Webfest work in small teams, each on specific ideas to design neat Web applications that encourage the public to learn more about science and in particular about CERN, the LHC and physics. In the process, students will learn new Webmaker skills from each other and from participating mentors, skills they will be able to go back and share in their home institutes.
