openlab Summer Students ATLAS Experiment visit

 A visit to ATLAS has been organised for you on Wednesday July the 17th. In order for this visit to go as planned we are asking you to please be at building 33 at 14h00 SHARP.

A guide will be waiting for you and instructions will be given concerning the visit.  

 Please read carefully the following safety information sent by the ATLAS experiment to all visitors:

Closed, flat or block-heeled shoes are required for the site visits (duckboard) and helmets will be provided; Access to underground areas is forbidden to pregnant women and to persons equipped with any of the following: pacemaker, defibrillator, electronic medicine dispenser, hearing aid, metal implant.

 Tony Cass will give you an introduction talk about CERN for about an hour which will be followed by an ATLAS cavern visit, the ATLAS visitor centre tour and the ATLAS 3D movie.

 A shuttle will be waiting for you at the ATLAS site at 17:00 to drive you to the BBQ venue in Prévessin.
