The field has always been an early adopter of new technologies, applying them in ever more complex experiments that study fine details of nature’s most fundamental processes. Beschreibung

The Storage Group (ST) within CERN's IT Department ensures a coherent development and operation of storage services at CERN for all aspects of physics data. A key responsibility of the Group is the development of data storage and data management solutions, which are mission critical for the LHC program but also most other science activities at CERN and the word-wide LHC grid.

Τη Δευτέρα 7 Νοεμβρίου 2016, και ώρα 14:00-16:00, στο αμφιθέατρο Κορδάτου του Κεντρικού Κτηρίου Παπαστράτου στο Βόλο, θα πραγματοποιηθεί ομιλία με θέμα: «Το CERN και προοπτικές για τους φοιτητές του ΤΗΜΜΥ». Η ομιλία διοργανώνεται από τον Αν. Καθηγητή του Τμήματος ΤΗΜΜΥ, Σπυρίδωνα Λάλη. Ομιλητές θα είναι: Ο κ. Ανδρέας Αλεξόπουλος διδακτορικός φοιτητής του Πανεπιστημίου Θεσσαλίας, ο κ. Λαζαρίδης Λάζαρος ο οποίος αποφοίτησε από το τμήμα Μηχανικών Η/Υ, Τηλεπικοινωνιών και δικτύων του Πανεπιστημίου Θεσσαλίας, ο κ. Αράμ Σαντογίδης ο οποίος αποφοίτησε από το τμήμα Μηχανικών Η/Υ, Τηλεπικοινωνιών και Δικτύων του Πανεπιστημίου Θεσσαλίας και ο κ. Αθανάσιος Τοπαλούδης ο οποίος είναι Μηχανικός Η/Υ, Τηλεπικοινωνιών και Δικτύων και αποφοίτησε από το Πανεπιστήμιο Θεσσαλίας το 2012.

Benyamin Kusumoputro, M.Eng dari Departemen Teknik Elektro FTUI juga menjadi Kandidat Dosen Berprestasi Tingkat Nasional.
