A submission from CERN was selected as the winner of the ‘Open Data Center Project’ category at the EMEA Awards. Now in their 10th year, the EMEA Awards are run by Datacenter Dynamics and recognise outstanding individuals, teams, and projects in a number of categories related to data centres. The award was presented at a ceremony in London on Wednesday 7th December. |

CERN’s IT department has been selected as a winner in the ‘Open Data Center Project’ category at the EMEA awards. These awards recognise outstanding individuals, teams, and projects in a number of categories related to data centres. CERN’s submission was an investigation into whether or not it was feasible to share the Open Compute Project more widely, and whether it could be opened to public procurement.
