Dr. Victor Pankratius is a visiting scientist at MIT's Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory. Together with his Multicore Software Engineering group at Karlsruhe, they are an internationally wide reference in the parallel programming arena, developing on sujects such as auto-tuning, language design, debugging, software engineering in the cloud, and empirical studies.

At the occasion of a visit to CERN openlab to discuss topics of common interest, Dr. Victor Pankratius will also give a computing seminar on 'Dealing with BIG Data - Exploiting the Potential of Multicore Parallelism and Auto-Tuning'.
