CERN openlab is hosting an ‘open day’ event today and tomorrow at CERN. The event marks 15 years since our unique public-private partnership was established.
Follow the event live via the webcast (begins at 12:00 UTC) to learn about CERN openlab’s work: collaborating with leading ICT companies and research institutes to accelerate the development of cutting-edge solutions for the worldwide LHC community, as well as for wider scientific research. Presentations from our industry collaborators will focus on a range of exciting new technologies.
At the event, an award will be presented to Intel in commemoration of the company’s 15-year membership — since CERN openlab was founded in 2001. “This award is being given in recognition of Intel’s contribution to the LHC research programme,” says Alberto Di Meglio, head of CERN openlab. “On behalf of the CERN openlab team, I’d like to thank our collaborators at Intel and look forward to continuing our work together in support of the research community.”
